5C. Common Clinical Disorders

Someone’s clinical record may include more than one diagnosis. Each diagnosis helps medical providers plan the right treatment. The provider will explain the signs and symptoms of the illness whenever they make a diagnosis. Then they will discuss the appropriate treatment plan.

Contributing Factors

These include common medical or physical conditions or diseases like brain injuries, terminal diseases, pregnancy, cancer, epilepsy, idiopathic physiological conditions, etc. which may aggravate the aforementioned psychiatric conditions.

Psychosocial Influences

These are factors usually listed as harming one's mentality and health. They include but are not limited to environmental factors of dysfunction, social factors, life stressors, family complications, social service involvement and court-ordered placements, financial problems and service needs.
