What is an Alternative Resource Plan?

Alternative Resource Plans provide a way for individuals to take advantage of available supports and services that are acceptable to them to provide the assistance they need to be safe and healthy. 

Before an individual can agree to supports and services, questions of informed consent must be considered. This may reveal capacity issues. For these plans to work, the individual must be competent enough to communicate responsible decisions.
